As an innovative champion for community solar expansion, CIC Energy is an impactful agent of change in marginalized communities like Port Arthur, TX. CIC Energy Team Impact’s Community Solar and Critical Infrastructure Workforce Development project in Port Arthur prioritizes delivering benefits to the community, decreasing energy burden, and combating energy and racial injustice.

The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Energy Justice to the People Roadshow—which highlights how new Federal government climate and clean energy programs are helping working people and communities mitigate climate change, delivering distributed renewable energy earnings, savings and beyond a triple bottom line of benefits towards building better communities through healthier living. Team Impact was at ground zero at Port Arthur on June 13, 2023. Missioned to provide equitable access across all community members, educating as to the benefits of solar energy, new jobs as well as vocational training delivering lucrative career opportunities in the Critical Infrastructure Workforce serving the rapidly growing renewable energy economy.
